Science Do Good workshops are devoted to engaging students in the active discussion on the ethical issues and decisions surrounding life science. Research ethics entails a variety of challenges, from applying the fundamental ethical principles in the design of experiments and work with animal model systems or human subjects to resolving seemingly simple questions such as who deserves to be the author of the paper. Responsible research requires that the professional, institutional and international standards are met at all times. Scientific misconduct is increasingly common and caution is needed when facing ethical dilemmas in research and academic work.

The main goal of the workshops is to encourage students thinking about the importance of doing research in the right way and providing them with the practical advice and sources of information in this direction. Within the workshops, students are encouraged to solve the virtual situations that demand decision making, which should help them learn to recognize and avoid misconducts and to identify reasons and problems that lead to dishonesty in the scientific community.
