Current research interests: Materials science – synthesis and characterization of porous materials in particular functionalisation of aluminosilicates and detailed characterisation of obtained products. Also, physicochemical investigation of art objects, particularly pottery, in order to obtain information on ancient ceramic technology and create national database based on the retrieved characteristics.
During graduate school spent two and a half years, during two visits, as a research scholar at the Chemistry Department, University of California at Santa Barbara, USA. Due to ongoing scientific collaboration worked at the Institut de Recherches sur la Catalyse, CNRS, Villeurbanne, France for eleven months during six visits and for five weeks at the Chemistry Department Durham University, UK.
Published 31 publications in international journals, 3 book chapters, gave 2 invited lectures, presented 82 communications at international conferences and advised 8 MSc and 18 BSc students.
